Sunday’s are usually considered rest day for many of us with an active lifestyle, but what if you want to get out and get at it on a Sunday just to keep that slow burn going you had for most of the week you might need a bit of motivation. Here are 3 reasons you should get a work out in on a Sunday.
1. Its a lazy day
We know that the word ‘lazy’ and ‘workout’ should never be in the same sentence but traditionally Sunday is the best day to kind of clean some things up that you haven’t done all week. For instance getting that stretching sequence in you have been meaning to do since Wednesday or focusing on body calisthenic work which adds to over all conditioning.
2. Try out a new machine
Most of us have our go to machines in the gym, it might be the treadmill or elliptical but if your gym is even a little bit state of the art you will have a ton of other cardio equipment that it might be fun to try on a Sunday and something to look forward to. So try something new, you might just get a great work out in and have a new machine to add to your list.
3. Get your best run in
Sundays are amazing for a good old sweaty run before you start your work week. You might run all week long but on Sundays there something special, things are quiet and a bit slower so you can take your time and get your mileage up.
4. Great day for hot yoga
Have you tried hot yoga yet? Sunday is a great day to start, hot yoga is just as challenging as it is relaxing and Sunday is a great day for just that. If you haven’t tried Hot Yoga check in your area for a studio, most of the classes start pretty early so you have alot of flexibility.
