If you’ve yet to reach your summer weight loss goals, it’s not too late. There are multiple ways you can safely and naturally shed an extra few pounds before summertime is over.

Of course, if you have long-term weight loss goals, this can definitely benefit you as well. I’m assuming that you already know what foods that you should be staying away from during your weight loss journey and that you are partaking in light to moderate physical activities.

So let’s get into 5 things you can implement into your weight loss regimen to help speed things along naturally.

Undergo a full body herbal detox

Hopefully, you know that the fat you retain is nothing but a bunch of toxins waiting to be released. Your body has stored those toxins into fat cells because you have over-consumed them, and overloaded your kidneys and liver. To help your organs out, you need to flush your entire system.

You can do this with a full-body herbal detox, which should focus on your blood cells as well (yes, they carry gunk too!) You want to avoid colon cleanses because that is only one-track minded. Your colon isn’t the only thing that needs to be detoxified.

Switch to an alkaline-based diet

When you eat alkaline foods, your body’s pH level rises, so that it too becomes alkaline. By doing this, your immune system boosts and the overall health of your organs and cells raise to new heights, allowing them to function as they should.

Not only will you have more energy, but you’ll be cleansing your body as well. Alkaline foods tend to have antioxidants, which can help with detoxing and weight loss.

If you’re not familiar with the alkaline diet, it’s pretty much a vegan diet that consists of electric fruits and veggies (non-hybridized).

So not all things that come from the earth are alkaline, which means they acidify the body and cause all sorts of health problems (even weight gain), such as corn, yams and sweet potatoes.

Eat more waterbased foods

Fruit and veggies that are water-based can help to flush out toxins and fat from your body as well. You’ll want to add fruits like seeded melons, pears, peaches, plums and apples.

Stay away from the starchier fruits like bananas, since they can pack on weight (unless you are doing cardio, which can easily burn this off before that happens). As for veggies, you want to eat leafy greens and romaine lettuce, zucchini and cherry or plum tomatoes.
