No matter where you are in life, sometimes a staycation is all you need. There’s nothing like taking a week off of work and staying within your city to enjoy a little relaxation.
Whether your are a planner or one to go with the flow, here are a few things to consider doing on an End-Of-Summer Staycation.
1. Try a new Restaurant
You know that non-chain restaurant downtown that you’ve passed on your way to the office but never actually had a chance to go to? Try it now!
Whether you go alone and grab a table for one or you invite a couple of girlfriends, just go out and enjoy a nice meal!
2. Pick up a new book
Staycations are perfect for squeezing in that fictional reading. Stop by a local bookstore and pick up something to just ease your mind that you would find enjoyable.
I’ve recently snagged The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. Heard it was really good and can’t wait to dive in.
3. Attend a local festival
It seems like there is always a festival going on all throughout the summer. These range from music to art, food and so on.
Is there a film festival in your area? Go and enjoy yourself!
4. Take on a new hobby
Are you one that always said you wanted to take up photography or learn how to play the guitar? Use this week to grow within that craft!
5. Spa retreat
End your week with a relaxing day at the spa. Get a massage and a facial and feel like you actually went away to some fabulous resort in Mexico!
Many times the thing about going on an actually vacation is that you come back feeling like you need another week to recharge. That’s the nice thing about staycations. You get that time to relax and feel well rested when returning to work.
