Queen B has claimed her throne! Megastar Beyonce has finally joined her husband Jay-Z as one of the 10 richest recording artists in the world.
Coming in with a monster net worth of $440 million, at 33 Beyonce is also the youngest member of this elite club of legends and superstars so she has plenty of time to climb the list. Combined with Jay-Z who came in 8th with $510 million the ultimate power couple is almost worth a cool billion between them.
Topping the list is Madonna, at 56 years old, her legendary career in the music industry over the past three decades, selling over 300 million records worldwide and has empire of fashion, producing, and even children’s books to add to her bottom line. Don’t worry Beyonce, you’ve got 23 years to make up the difference.
The names on the list are synonymous with superstar. We really haven’t seen a female performer that has become such a powerhouse phenomenon both artistically and commercially since Madonna herself. It was only a matter of time, but at such a young age Beyonce has joined names like Elton John, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey in this exclusive club. On a side note, is anyone else glad Jennifer Lopez is NOT on this list?
Beyonce is showing no signs of slowing down the money making machine either. There have been rumors swirling that the singer is finally returning to the recording studio for new album due in 2015.
Although representatives have been tight lipped, it’s near certainty Beyonce will be going on a world tour at the end of next year.
