They key to great holiday makeup is imagination, you want to think glitz. glamour, shimmer, and a bold lip in my opinion. The time of year is the best time to really showcase your skills and not be called out for wearing too much.
About the shimmer
Shimmer adds drama to your look, most people tend to use it on their eyes and even a little bit on your skin. If you want to add shimmer to your eyes, ensure that it isnt too much and dripping everywhere but enough to give your eyes some serious shine.
On the skin, go for a light shimmery glow, you can find lotions and facial creams that help with just that. Light coverage on the skin is always better.
Do a mask
Speaking of the skin, before you pack on the makeup ensure that your skin gets a little bit of pampering first. Why not do a mask that will brighten your skin and get your skin tone nice and even for your look
Keep your lippie from fading
Nobody wants your perfect lip to start to fade just after one hour, so do what you need to do to keep that color vibrant. Line the lips first with a similar shade as your lippie then fill in with your lipstick. Apply powder then do another application of liner and lip stick. This will ensure that your color does not fade even a little bit.
Play up eyes and lips
You will hear from a few gurus that you should do either or, we say do them both this season. Bold lips are awesome and shimmery smokey eyes are cool as well. Be a minimalist on the rest of your face to make sure things arent too crazy.
