Floyd Mayweather is the last person whose shoes I’d want to be in right now. The boxer recently witnessed his rapper friend murdering his wife and killing himself.
If TMZ’s report is accurate, on Monday morning Mayweather was on FaceTime with the rapper Earl Hayes, who was part of Mayweather’s Money Team. Earl Hayes had called the boxer to vent out his frustration because he believed his wife, Stephanie Moseley, was being unfaithful to him (rumor has it with Trey Songz).
He said he was going to kill the Hit The Floor star because apparently he couldn’t let her live after cheating on him. Mayweather tried to talk him out of it, but it didn’t work. Hayes shot and killed Moseley. Hayes then shot himself, also killing himself. Los Angeles police confirmed it was a murder-suicide later on after examining the bodies.
This is sad news to Hayes’ family, including his father (the famous) Isaac Hayes, and especially traumatizing to Moseley’s friends and family. In fact, this is just horrific news to everyone with a heart. I mean, how do you do something like that?
Hayes had earlier broken up with her because he suspected her of cheating with singer Trey Songz. They got back together, but he obviously never got over it.
Now, when you believe someone’s cheated on you and is still cheating, and it’s tearing you up inside, it makes sense to break up with them. I mean, it’s not like your world revolves around them. Find someone else and be happy. What Hayes did was cruel, inhuman and just plain stupid. When you’re broken-hearted, murder-suicide should be the very last thing on your mind. There’s booze, therapy and the age-old moving on.
Thanks to Hayes’ monstrous actions, the world has lost a daughter, a friend and a host that lots of people looked up to.
I feel bad for Mayweather for having seen messed-up shit like that. Stuff like that stays with you for a long, long time. For now, all we can do is pray for the affected people and hope they find the strength to move on from this.
