Well the White House 4th of July barbecue will be lit in more ways than one because according to Rapup Kendrick Lamar And Janelle Monae will be performing.
Both artists have visited the White House before and the concert will be dedicated to military heroes. Read below:
Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe will be visiting President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for a Fourth of July concert dedicated to military heroes and their families, according to Politico.
“White House staff and their families from throughout the administration will also attend this event for the fireworks viewing,” said Josh Earnest, White House press secretary. “There will also be a performance on Monday evening by fellow Kansas Citian Janelle Monáe and Kendrick Lamar.”
K-Dot and Janelle have history with the White House. Last year, Kendrick met with Obama about the My Brother’s Keeper initiative. The president also named Lamar’s “How Much a Dollar Cost” his favorite song of 2015.
Well, this should make for an interesting and unforgettable time.
