When Kylie Jenner recently posted a photo on Instagram showing a considerably ample cleavage—a lot more ample than she normally has—everyone on the Internet went wild. The talk everywhere soon became about how Kylie got a boob job and that the 17-year-old was simply too young to have breast implants.
Some people claimed that Kylie was showing the world that she wasn’t any better than her sister Kim, since everyone knows Kim’s looks and body are the results of science. Other people had much worse comments to make. In short, it was not a good time to be Kylie Jenner.
However, Kylie soon assuaged her fans and silenced her critics by saying that she hadn’t gone under the knife. Instead, she had been wearing Victoria’s Secret’s new line of “Bombshell” bras on the controversial photo.
Apparently, Bombshell is a series of high-end push up bras which promise to increase the wearer’s bust by around two cups without the use of implants or plastic surgery. Just wear them, and your bust will be instantly bigger.
Victoria’s Secret apparently don’t mind that women who wear these bras on dates might end up with freaked-out dates, because they have a wide selection of Bombshell bras in the market, from strapless to ones with straps going in different directions.
In fact, these bras have even caught the attention of the other Kardashians. According to TMZ, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kris have all ordered their own bras.
We know what will happen next: fans of the Kardashians will go crazy when they see the Kardashians with bigger busts and many will go on spending sprees to buy the exact Bombshell bra their favorite Kardashian wears. Oh, and there might be a larger number of male viewers of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all a strategy by Victoria’s Secret to increase sales of their bra. The amount of attention Bombshell has garnered is already a lot more than they would have received with just regular advertising.
As shown by Kim Kardashian’s appearance in Paper Magazine, which was relatively unknown till Kim tried to break the internet, having your brand associated with the Kardashians—any of them—is a sure way to sell by the bucket load. Victoria’s Secret’s bust-enhancing bra is basically endorsed by all the Kardashians, so you can be sure it will sell out in a hurry.
