Raise your hand if you own a body-con dress? Most of us do, its the dress that we put in that special place in our closet for the occasions when we want to feel extra sexy.
The dress is known to accentuate all our good assets, perking up the rear, hugging the hips and lifting the boobs and contouring the waistline for the perfect hour glass shape.
Well I have news for you, if you are old and by old I mean 55 and above, if you are a “committed lesbian” or if you have hips, Herve Leger’s UK Director Patrick Couderc the creator of the dress does not want you anywhere near his dress. That includes you as well Kim Kardashian-West, he mentioned you by name!
In an interview with the Daily Mail the out spoken director also said if you have small boobs you need to put the dress back on the rack and move right along, do not wear his dress.
“You women have a lot of problems. You will lose the plot. You will come and you will put a dress on and you’ll be in front of the mirror, like, ‘Argh, I’m so fat.’
“Yes, you have a 12th of an inch around your stomach, it’s not really a disaster, and what you’re not noticing is that your cleavage is about two inches too low because you are 55 and it’s time that you should not display everything like you’re 23.”
“If you’re a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won’t want to buy a Leger dress. Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely.”
Well then for all of you ‘uncommitted lesbians’ and women with no hips, boobs or butts looks like all of you get a pass.
Oh but he wasn’t done, he also was sure to mention that he never sends his dresses to just anybody to wear. He makes sure that the women that wear his dresses have class and his example of that is Kim Cattrall, yes you remember Kim, that’s the woman that played Samantha the sex crazed homie on Sex And the City.
As you can imagine the fashion house was as appalled at their director as we were reading his words. They moved quickly to save there name and fired Patrick before he could shame them with anything else.
“The Herve Leger by Max Azria brand and its parent company, BCBGMAXAZRIA Group, are shocked and appalled by Patrick Couderc’s comments made in The Mail on Sunday
BCBGMAXAZRIA Group is working in concert with MJH Fashion, to investigate and establish appropriate next steps.
The statements made by Mr. Couderc are not a reflection of Herve Leger by Max Azria or MJH Fashion ideals or sentiments. The Herve Leger by Max Azria brand celebrates sensuality, glamour and femininity without discrimination.”
Well that’s that, in celebration we should all rock our body con dresses this weekend for date night or bowling just to stick it to him! Silly rabbit!
