Rick Ross the Chicken Boss? Well that is what Forbes is calling him. Ross has recently made the Forbes Cash Kings 2014 list. When I first heard the title, I considered it to be offensive, yet Ross does not see it that way.
Being listed in Forbes is a big thing and something that Ross has aspired to do. Ross has even mentioned that he should be in the top five. Why?
“The beauty of the Forbes list is that it excites the streets. It gives people an idea of what’s going on financially. It inspires the youngsters.”
Ross did not make the top five, but making the list is still a big deal and being dubbed the Chicken Boss is not such a bad thing. Ross made the list based off of his profits from, well, selling chicken. His Wingstop empire is expanding and the profits have been rolling in. With nine franchises, it’s no wonder he at least made the list.
If Rick Ross wants to make it into the top five Cash Kings, his profits are going to have to do a whole lot of increasing. He is such a big deal in the rap game that it shouldn’t be too hard to get on that list. Along with Wingstop he has Maybach Music one would think he would have enough to knock Macklemore & Ryan Lewis out of the top five.
Yeah, you heard me right. Macklemore and Ryan lewis apparently banked in more that Ross whose been in the game longer. Surprising, I know. I guess you never really know what these stars are making and just because you have a large fan base, doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re rolling in it.
Ross has got some catching up to do if he wants to make that coveted list his competition is pretty steep, for get Macklemore and Ryan, he has a long road ahead of him if he wishes to catch up to Dr. Dre who reportedly earned $620 million.
I’m sure after the list was released, it has also inspired Ross himself. Ross has dropped some weight physically but maybe he can gain some financially to make that top five list of highest paid hip-hop artist. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you Ross.
