I cant help but think there is a special place in hell for a man or woman who looks at a three yr old and decides to do the unthinkable, to take their innocence through acts of rape and abuse is undeniably the worse crime.
The truth is children everywhere try to deal with this everyday and when you get older the demons are a constant in your life.
Tisha Campbell has been pretty vocal recently about her own rape because the burden of it has weighed heavily on her.
She was raped when she was just 3 years old and her rapist sent her an apology letter for his actions which lead her to later forgive him.

I cannot imagine the level of emotion she must have felt reading a letter from her rapist, but she said it helped her tremendously to move past the rape.
This week she released a music video called “Steel Here’ where she sings about her resiliency and about the burden of her abuse. She also pens a portion of the letter on her chest:
Dear Beloved Tisha, this apology has been in my heart and on my mind for decades. For decades there has been a grieving pain within me coupled with an unending shame for my past behavior…”
In a series of tweets Tisha explains her choice to write the letter on her body:
“The writing on my body and the man writing the letter reps the actual words of an apology letter I recently received from the person who violated me when I was 3 yrs old. By blessing me with the apology letter he allotted me the ability to be free and to forgive,” she explained in a post on social media.

We wish nothing but success for Tisha’s new song, many of us need to hear it!
