Believe it or not hyperpigmentation in the skin is pretty common. It is usually caused by an increase in melanin in the skin typically caused by pregnancy or Addison’s disease. There are external factors that can also cause an increase in melanin, such as the sun, drugs or even emotional stress.
To get rid of hyper pigmentation you can use a few simple at home remedies to even out the skin tone for example:
1. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is great for hyper pigmented skin because it has mucilaginous polysaccharides in the gel. Aloe vera removes dead skin cells and promotes regeneration of new skin cells.
All you have to do is add some fresh aloe vera gel on the areas that are hyper pigmented and leave it on over night. Rinse in the morning and repeat daily for a couple of weeks until you see the results you want.
2. Vitamin E
Vitamin E is very common in skin care, and great for hyperpigmentation. It is an antioxidant that protects the skin from the sun and repairs damage.
Just as you would the aloe vera get a Vitamin E capsule, puncture it and add the liquid to a bowl. Add a few drops of castor oil to the mix, and mix well.
Add the mixture all over the affected areas if the skin leave over night and rinse the following morning. Do this for a few weeks until you see the spots start to disappear and even out.
