It’s not always that simple. I’ve suffered since puberty. You get tired of the dermatologist. It’s not cheap either! I eat right, live right, but still struggle. I’ve tried everything. At some point, makeup is the lessor of two evils. Please don’t judge until you know a person’s story or are willing to foot the treatment bill. Unless you can walk a mile in her shoes, keep your snarky comments to yourself. She is trying to help, not harm.
Yes it is Trina Smith. I have the scars. It’s embarrassing. My husband of 20 years loves me and hates me wearing makeup. I do my best, but wear makeup when I’m out and about. Wish I didn’t have to.
I agree. It seems as i got older it only got worse. I started getting acne when I was 13. I’m 31 now. Its a constant struggle everyday and it’s very embarrassing.
Wow… Ppl that have been blessed with good skin are commenting. You don’t get it. Please shut up. I get it. I have had bad skin and still do. I have tried everything … Been trying since 15 and I am 45. My mom recently bought me a different product. Pro active works till I get stressed.
I don’t know what yours skin looks like when it breaks out, but here are some ideas that might help.
-take probiotics to help your digestive track.
-drink organic milk. Regular milk may upset your hormone balance.
-test for allergies (esp food allergies)
-drink more water in addition to the other suggestions
– lastly, this is one I just read about, check to see if you have MRSA. That may show as an acne infection.
I’m a licensed Aesthetician, and I think first off it’s not all about seeing a dermatologist if that doesn’t work out an allergist need to be seen, then if possible see a professional Aesthetician for weekly facials if you can afford it, if not get a consultation from a licensed professional (Aesthetician), they can advise you on how to take care of your skin at home and purchase some good over the counter products, there are good ones out there!
I get regular facials, and occasional microdermabrasion and every now and then a peel from my aesthetician and my once problematic skin is now blemish free. It’s an investment but well worth it to not have to wear makeup.
The basic skin care from Mary Kay was the only thing that cleared up my skin. Then either they changed the chemical make up or my body chemistry changed and it stopped working.
Try the botanicals it works wonders on sensitive skin. If you don’t like or it doesn’t work you can send it back to me for a full refund!…..what what’s exactly happened to your skin?

I think posts like this are fantastic who agrees?
Sick of all this make up sorcery. Just go to a dermatologist & get some chemical peels.
I tried and the meds they gave me burned my face. We try.
I can’t speak on this but I’m trying an all natural black soap along with the face scrub brush. I love it!
And I heard something about all natural/ organic apple cider vinegar… that and or lemon juice! Hope this helps!
Thank you Sarah Byrd
Your welcome! Just there’s no confusion, I mean from an actual lemon! Lol
That was mean! If it were that easy I am sure everyone would have clear skin…..
I mean….eat right.
Cut out the dirty weave, greasy hair jels and trap music and you’ll be alright.
..and those nasty long nails harboring all sorts of gook.
Girl, bye!

Yassssssss well said sister!!!!!! Because the struggle is real
Very real. I can totally relate. I applaud her courage despite the naysayers.
I haven’t dealt with severe acne, but it’s real easy for people to speak against something or say how easy it is when it doesn’t effect them.

I wish I didn’t have to either. The struggle is heart wrenching.

Thanks. I need facials often but can’t afford it right now.

Absolutely!

It cleared it up and it was smooth and beautiful. Then I started developing cysts under the skin.
Did you do the microdermabrasion treatment?
I wonder what happened when the boyfriend or husband saw her the first morning without make up
Use some aloe vera gel because it helps my acne problems
