Viola Davis rocked the red carpet and the podium as she won Favorite Actress In A New TV Series at the 2015 People’s Choice Awards held Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

The leading actress and star of How To Get Away With Murder wore her hair straight and looked beautiful in her plunging neckline Escada dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, a Rauwolf bag, and Jacob & Co earrings.

As if the win wasn’t enough to squash the haters, Ms. Davis eloquently  shut them down in her acceptance speech by referencing the New York Times article  that called her “less classically beautiful” than lighter-skinned actresses.

“Thank you Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, and Peter Nowalk for thinking of a leading lady who looks like my classic beauty,” she said with class. OK, I am a serious fan and lover of the show so this was just perfect in my eyes!  Glamorous and glowing is how we would describe Viola’s look of the evening.

Despite stealing the show, Ms. Davis wasn’t the only natural on the red carpet and looking fabulous at the awards. “Being Mary Jane” star Gabrielle Union dazzled in  an Honor dress, Jamie Wolf earrings, a Casato necklace, and a Graziela Gems ring.

Her plunging neckline and soft curls worked well together and as always she had a winning smile to complete her ensemble. Soft and sexy would be the best way to describe her look.

A relatively newcomer to Grey’s Anatomy,  Kelly McCreary opted for a unique short dress with just a peep of midriff. The dark checkered dress worked in a playful element and her natural tresses were up in a semi-loose bun to give her the elegance to match the evening.  Edgy and elegant would sum up her look perfectly.

All three ladies were stunning, beautiful and natural with a variety of styles all perfect for the evening.  What a way to start off 2015 and the award season.  I am excited about who is next on the list and the red carpet.  Naturals are making a statement for 2015 and this is our year to shine!
