So it looks like Usher will be taking the plunge again. Usher and his long time girlfriend and business partner Grace Miguel were seen recently at 8th annual HEAVEN Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday the 11th of January.

It is the huge diamond she sported – spot the size of that rock! -that set tongues wagging and according to the report on US weekly, sources close to the couple confirmed that the two were betrothed but that the bride wanted to keep it low key.

The two have been together since 2009 but one could say the writing was on the wall when Usher started publicly praising his leading lady in October of last year. Usher gushed to Billboard Magazine in October by saying:

I have an incredible partner and manager,”

That’s nice, but he got a little more personal when he followed up with:

She has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and my career. She’s someone who’s been able to support and understand all of who I am. Not just as a dancer or as a performer or as a singer, but as a humanitarian and a business man and as a person.

Ooh la la! That woman must be doing something right! When a men gets to the point where he is singing your praises like that it is no joke.

When a man says you understand all of who he is and he recognizes the support you give in all areas of his life, then you know you have truly cornered some prime real estate as it relates to his heart.

Now in some of the threads I’ve come across, some have stated that she is average looking. So what? Who the heck cares? Something tells me even if she had the most angelic baby doll face people would still talk smack.

You all should stop though cause there is nothing wrong with the woman. I like her, she kinda reminds me of Phyllicia Rashad (really, don’t you see a slight resemblance?). OK so maybe its just in that one pic.

If it is genuine love just let the folks be. The way I see it, there are too many ‘cute’ couples who can’t keep it together and that has been proven in the slew of breakups that made the news last year.

Here’s to love the second time around, hoping that Usher is through with all ’em “Confessions” and hoping that it lasts longer than the time the ink takes to dry on that marriage licence.
