Amal Ramzi Clooney looked dashing on her first red carpet with a sleek Dior dress. She even matched white gloves and a white clutch with the black, one-shouldered gown. Mrs. Clooney had a “Je suis Charlie” pin on her clutch to show her support for the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris.
Even though she looked awesome on the red carpet, 36-year-old Mrs. Clooney seemed she wasn’t enjoying the rest of the night. Cameras caught her forcing smiles and bored looks.
Though she tried to look like she was having a good time, it was totally understandable that she was not impressed with a bunch of actors giving awards to each other.
And of course, people tweeted about how bored Amal was looking during the night. Maybe she does not fancy this kind of events or she did not want to be in a room full of actors and actresses because she has got the one who is more than enough. I mean, if you’re married to George Clooney, the other actors must have seem less important, right?
As a classic, Tina Fey joked about the couple when she was on stage. Fey, counted the achievements Amal accomplished through her life and then she added, “So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award.” The joke made Amal smile –but a real smile this time – and George Clooney laugh.
The couple married in September 2014 and George Clooney told that he had a pretty good year when he was on the stage making a speech after receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award. He, then, went on with the compliments for his wife Amal Clooney:
“It’s a humbling thing when you find someone to love, even better if you’ve been waiting your whole life. […] Amal, whatever alchemy that brought us together, I couldn’t be more proud to be your husband.”
British-Lebanese lawyer Mrs. Clooney is a very lucky lady to hear things like these from George Clooney. It’s a pity that she got bored the rest of the night.
