NYFW is in full swing and most of us are looking around for the best looks that we can rock this winter. There is a reason Fall and Winter fashion is so damn awesome, because you get to be sexy, layer, and wear boots! What more can a girl ask for? We follow hundreds of fashion channels and so we want to introduce some of our favorite looks for the Fall season.
Even though we drool over the awesome looks we see in store fronts and online, the most important thing to remember when building your Fall wardrobe is to have your basics so that you can have a base and ways to mix and match.
What are your Autumn Fashion basics?
- A thick knit sweater that is neutral or bold in color but can go with almost anything. Get two, one that is cropped for layering and one that isn’t, for layering.
- A pair of basic-ish ankle booties – find a pair of boots that are of great quality and that can last you awhile, so make the investment if you have to.
- A pair of fashion friendly boots that can be worn to work and transformed for a night out, again stick with the best quality, they look better and last longer.
- Leggings – yes amen to leggings, they are great for everyday and super sexy while comfortable.
- A basic fall Parka – very simple jacket that can be winterized with lining.
- Leather – Skirt, pant, jacket, you must own something leather, so start saving it is a Fall/Winter essential.
- The little black dress – For the parties this is a definite essential that realistically you will probably purchase every year. Who are we kidding, there is no way the Christmas party will come around and we pull out a dress from last year. The little black dress is an essential buy every year.
- Hats and scarves are a must have, keeps you warm but are totally fashionable when done right. So start your collection, nobody has just one hat or one scarf.
Here’s the thing, your spending does not have to be excessive, this is what thrift stores are for, if you are an avid thrifter then you know how to find essential pieces for less and not have to worry about breaking the bank.
