Marie Holmes was lucky enough to win the Power ball lottery just a few weeks ago and it was awesome because she is young, just 26yrs old and a single mother of 4 children.

She won $188 million in one lump sum which translated to $88 million after taxes. Like any lottery winner she had huge plans, give to the church, put up money for her children’s college funds but then life happens.

Instead of, or in addition to all of that she also decided to help your boyfriend out who is in jail for trafficking heroin. Lamar McDow was caught with more than 8000 bags of heroin and needed a cool $3 mill to make bail. Prior to that he had been to jail for parole violations, drug and paraphernalia in Holmes’ Brunswick County home. In all Marie spent $6million on her man.

Since then, Marie has been judged a lot in the media and as you can imagine, Marie is not here for the criticism. She was very outspoken telling everyone to mind their business on the Facebook page of the news outlet that carried the story.

“What Y’all need to be worried about is Y’all money and not how I spend mine this is benefiting Y’all how? And no he’s no drug dealer or user but who are Y’all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y’all because it’s much need…they talked about Jesus so I’m not surprised Y’all are talking about me but be blessed though,”

Well guess what, she is right. How she spends her money is very much so her business. My only thing is, dang I wish I could have pulled those numbers that day, especially since I do not have a drug dealer boyfriend and everything.

While many of us cannot ever say we would never ever do anything foolish for love the truth is we just might. We can only hope that we are not in the put in a circumstance where have to spend $6 million dollars on the jail house. Human behavior is so interesting!
