Every now and then I will come across something that moves me a bit, and as an avid Arsenio watcher when he was on television way back when and when he made a return to TV a year or so again; I was surprised that I missed this episode.
He had a poet grace his stage, her name is Ernestine Johnson and she told the story of an Average Black Girl. Of course with the magic of FB the video was brought to my attention and I literally got my life listening to her speak. This poem is everything! Everything an average black girl should hear over and over and over again.
